Edward James Olmos is set to direct “The Crystal Frontier” a bilingual drama that explores US-Mexico border issues .
Olmos is visiting the Guadalajara International Film Festival on Friday to announce the project. The Guadalajara film festival.
“The Crystal Frontier,” written by one of Mexico’s most important contemporary authors, is a novel consisting of nine intertwined stories that reflect on how political, sociological and economic realities affect people. “It is a sociological study of humanity in Mexico and the U.S.,” Olmos said.
